We have compiled a list of our most frequently asked questions. If your question is not answered here, please reach out to us, and we would be happy to answer any questions you might have!
What are your visiting hours?
Our recommended visiting hours are 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM, as we want to respect the facility’s quiet times during the night to ensure all residents’ sleeping times are respected.
Do I need to label clothing?
Please ensure that you label all your clothing items with your name to ensure that we can get your clothing returned to the correct room.
How do we keep track of our items brought to your facility?
It is important for all residents to participate in their inventory listing upon admission to ensure all items are accounted for. If an item might go missing, the facility cannot be held responsible for items that aren’t listed on the initial inventory list.
Is there a resident council?
Yes, our council meets once a month. Our resident council president is Michael McPhie. If you have any questions, please contact the Activities Department.
Do you provide mental health services?
Yes, Lowry does provide mental health services in-house. If you are seeking any counseling services, please reach out to our Social Services Department.
Can residents receive mail?
Yes, when getting items mailed or delivered, please select to have items received at the facility during business hours. Ensure that it has your name and room number on it as well. Deliveries and mail items are kept at the front desk or in the business office.
Is smoking permitted?
We do offer smoking times within our facility. First, you will need to be evaluated by nursing with a smoking assessment to be independent or supervised while smoking. If you need assistance with purchasing cigarettes, Activities completes this weekly.
What if I have shopping needs?
If you have personal shopping needs, Activities assist in this process. Please reach out to our activities department if you need assistance getting items from the store.
What items are not allowed at Lowry Hills?
Items that are NOT allowed in resident rooms per the Colorado Healthcare Department:
- No hot plates
- No microwaves
- No curling irons
- No heated blankets

Do you have transportation services?
We do have a Resident Transportation Specialist who can assist with setting up transportation appointments. Please complete the transportation form, and they will plan and coordinate with you.
Do you have vision, dental, podiatry or eye specialists?
These services are available once a month. Please meet with Social Services, and they will assist you with setting up these services provided in-house.
